Badass bike parts picture thread

Why wouldn’t they work? Also, travel agent

Thought they could only pull shorties like 80-90, and no travel agents thanks

Not yet.

mig is accidentally right

in terms of proportions, a 26->650b ~105mm fullV is pretty much a scaled-up ~85mm miniV

think about where the brake pad is placed relative to the pivot and cable

Jank wins

wha?

i fucked up but I’m just gonna let it ride

To be fair, that’s probably the least offensive cross check there is. So ya know, in its own special way, kinda badass?

That fender might work

Little fenders like that do a great job of keeping water from collecting in the “Love channel” of your saddle.

I have a thing for Campy on Cross-Checks. Earnestly good bike.

the only thing that makes that bike stand out is the campy, which is a badass bike part, hell yeah!

why the terrible cranks tho

I’m assuming it’s because they came with the cheap campy group? I don’t think this bike looks to be “curated”, so to speak.

Looks promising.

Would try

I’ve always had good luck with Finish Lime products. I suspect this will be a solid entry into the market.

Any old timers confirm if this is true or not?
from the comments:
Seems like a lot of manufacturers have already been down this path, and reversed back up it later – Bontrager Super Juice was exactly this idea too – non latex (glycol based i think), with fibres in to ‘coagulate’ around the puncture spot – but they don’t do it now, and the current Bontrager TLR sealant looks to just be another latex based sealant albeit without ammonia.

I used the Super Juice all the itme, and thought it was good – be interesting to know why Bontrager/Trek backed away from it…
kevlar strands tho
