Yeah it’s a bit of a bummer.
More looking at the Arc Expert, no need to ball to hard on a steel 160 enduro fs.
who dat
Trying out sq lab 611
Did a 100k spirited ride on the Aspin yesterday.
The firmness of the saddle really made me aware of how imbalanced I am - my right side felt , but the left sitbone pushed into the saddle a bit. It was never painful to sit on the saddle (and no sores), but I’m def a bit sore this morning.
Interestingly noticed some scuff / chafe marks on the side of the saddle this morning
I know I need a little more setback (waiting on a post I ordered), so maybe I won’t rub if it’s a little further back?
Is the left side of the saddle dimpled as much as the right side? I can’t really tell from the pictures, but if it isn’t that might explain why your left side didn’t feel quite as settled as your right.
Same here (Ergowave version).
I don’t feel any dimples or deformities in the top.
Btw this is still the test saddle, i have no idea how much it (or if) it has been ridden before. I’ve got about 75k in jeans and 100k in diapers on it so far
curious to hear how this goes. GermanBikeFitBro was talking these up
I have Ergon SMC3 and SMC4 saddles on all my bikes, but I wanted to try something with a more-defined “sweet spot.” Stay tuned…
A very very short ride on it to work but I barely felt it unlike my B17
my saddle history:
i bought a take-off on ebay when i was 18. it worked. i’ve never used anything else. the SLS is the same shape and like 75% cheaper so i use those too, but that doesn’t really count
I don’t know how this one differs than 611 but this one is on a really nice sale https://www.bike24.com/p2266848.html
SQlab has way too many saddles/variants. They should take a tip from Ergon and reduce the number of models.
Waiting on new setback post and found this saddle in my mess last night. I bought it from a take-off bin years ago.
Anyone know what the Sella ‘Nekkar’ line was? Shape seems to fit ok
Trekking saddle?
I’m all-in on having functional pressure relief on all my saddles at this point, at least on any drop bar bike where the bars are below the saddle. My recent history has been Romin Evo Expert (pretty OK) --> Selle SMP Dynamic (great saddle for riding in nice bibs, if you don’t like to shift fore-aft while riding) --> Pro Stealth (current fav: padded enough for regular clothes, pressure relief channel is wide and stays wide at nose, relatively flat profile). I think the Spesh Power is similar ride, but the channel narrows at the nose.
I’ve got a couple SMPs that I’m probably gonna unload in the near future if anyone is interested.

I used the smp on the trainer for a bit and it felt good but not as good as my toupe and also retail on those in America is $280? Sorry not sorry
Old flite great. New flite too flat, or the scallops from nose to rear wings are too abrupt, or something. I get a bit of a tractor seat feel from it, cuts across the backs of my legs, feet go numb.
Anyone holding any '90s Bontrager FS+10s?
I should start hoarding seats I like.
