I just found this when searching on some SID internals stuff. He has some cool stuff in here. FAQLoad - Making your own suspension fork elastomers
wow I love this nonsense lol
I generally dig Mythical State/MFS/etc, but man that’s just a naked Online Ceramics bite, no?
edit: didn’t realize there was a route/ride/whatever involved, was more getting at the new merch line
I actually still do all of the order fulfillment and a bit of admin stuff, but I have not really been involved in the day-to-day since I got a normie job about three years ago. We’re definitely still friends (and practically neighbors) tho so we still chat about his new projects a lot. I’m hoping to carve out some time this year to go back and rebuild a lot of the old MFS content in the new site structure, since that stuff should really be available to go back and read.
Hopefully MSO can find a little niche, we had so many ideas over the years that were never really explored.
That site gives me a goddamn headache.
Also what a fun idea.
haha I hadn’t even looked at the merch.
I’m not a graphic tee connoisseur but https://boot-boyz.biz/ is older than ol’ ceramics and I assume that there are other weird boutique bootleg shirt people around as well. With the bike-themed stuff (this one, smooth jazz lines, a few others) I’m at first excited that a niche that seems like it is marketed directly to me exists, then a little saddened by the very same thought. Ultimately I wish I could impulse-buy one of these shirts when I’m in LA in a couple of weeks so as to avoid this whole introspection thing
@teepz you do order fulfillment for which one of these uh… concepts?
There’s still some MFS product being sold as well, so that and MSO. All the merch is in my garage lol.
lol godspeed, you may be seeing my name on an order soon
I think this kind of shit was/is a solid “street wear” trend.
Makes me think of Sci-fi fantasy and a lot of the Welcome Skateboards merch too.
Def shoot me a DM if you do.
Ehhh I just saw the MSO manifesto email in my inbox and it reads like every bro that I imagine would want to hang out at GSC would say to try and fit in and/or get a 5% discount
algorithms bro
Bike clothes for LA dudes.
TC: I would love to make a crewneck sweater with a zipper pocket on the back so you can wear it while wearing bibs
this in a nice polartec ultralight weight fabric would be a $10,000 move
Dustin Klein made a sweatshirt with lower back jersey pockets, it has held up pretty well.
I once stitched pockets onto a t-shirt, it did not.
I had something very much like this!
It’s a Search and State piece, a dense cotton fabric crewneck sweatshirt, it has a single zippered pocket right on the side seam with the pocket interior against your back. the pocket is kinds small tho, just phone/keys sized really.
It’s an XL size but absolutely fits more like a L or even M, depending on your arm length. My wife has co-opted it for chilly weather around-the-house tasks.
Not currently on their website.
edit: found an old press release about it:
that’s what the longsleeve options are from https://www.oregoncyclewear.com/
It’s true, though I’d like one that won’t eventually shrink to small female person size.
Also I kinda want another P83 jerz but I’m not willing to spend a thursday that far from home.
I have a Kitsbow sweatshirt like this, it’s merino blend with enough synthetic that it doesn’t shrink in the wash
Cutter made a zip up sweater with a back pocket years and years ago. I still have it somewhere.
