I know we rolled our collective eyes at the “why can’t I singlespeed this?!?” refrain for years but when I saw the ss dropouts, I was immediately onboard. (Not to mention those seat stays :E )

Honestly I saw a light purple derosa a couple months ago and have been thinking about non fender bikes since
weird that a little company run by a cool dude can figure out how to make a single speed/multi speed frame that doesn’t have turbofucked dropouts… unlike a certain … quality bike company

i didn’t even bother to look close enough to notice it’s 55mm offset vs the 50mm offset already on my road bike.
but goddamn i do want to buy one and have no good (or bad) reason to.
but tarcklebee nom for igor for sticking to his guns in both directions. making flat mount disc brake velo orange bikes and making a side pull road bike in TYOOL 2023 (maybe 2024 when it’s available) that is decidedly not a crosscheck while also doing crosscheck things but in a curated manner

surly had the MDS dropouts for a hot minute that were similar to the VO ones on the rando but then decided that wasnt very surly of them. then the straggler dropouts happened and all hope was lost.

I feel like Surly has a grant with NIST to continue developing new bad methods for fitment of a wheel to a bicycle and has to produce one every 3 years to get the grant renewed
