There’s Freehub Magazine out of Bellingham that is MTB-centric. I think their print mag is glossy.
In. I wrote that at first but deleted it. I’ve been sitting on the idea for a photo zine for a while but didn’t want to post about doing it the same day Pears posts about doing one.
Feel like I do need a project. I’ve made some pretty shit zines in my day…probably due time to make something decent. I mean nothing too tasteful tho.
GS Landlords accepts submissions, but dunno if they’re doing print stuff much anymore
JFC
Not like that
that title has to be bait.
John Speare has a photo zine for his Ferry County Cycling Federation
subscription is by mailing a postcard to his rural cabin
I’m sold
I don’t know if I’d call it a scientific method, but I don’t disagree with any of this (didn’t read any further than this)
His hypothesis is usually sound. It’s a shame he can’t resist cherry picking data to hock his above average tires along the way.
especially to brag that a generic chinese made WTB tire is 2% slower than the extralight runny arse in a brutal 400W effort
Both times I have ridden my runny arse liteweight 35 mm tires on my Hawkes Bay new years holidays I have punctured. Gravel is way to fat for them. At least I hadnt forgotten my pump this time. Was very embarrassing last time to call the waaaambulance. Next time I will run turdly panaracers like my host.
Yeah I won’t ever spend money on runny arse tires again. too expensive and I can’t feel any difference between them and WTB horizons (unless you include the process of mounting them and getting them to seal, in which the WTB tires are a 1,000x better experience)
Imagine paying for Panaracer or rebranded Panaracer tires in 2024 lamo
cringe
More information please
Also $18 per issue for Calling in Sick!? Sheeeesh that’s not a zine that’s a book
One of the nerds at the shop got them. It’s glossy. A smaller yet bigger BQ.
It turns out Freehub also does a free zine called Craft.
