From what I understand it’s a bit of that, as he pretty obviously exudes during his interviews. But that could be aligned with traditional republican points. TR is explicitly Trumpian. He believes in tariffs and protectionism (despite the fact that it will undoubtedly hurt his business). I don’t know much other than those stances but he vocally supports Trump (in private company) and has a couple trump signs on his property.

I’d honestly thought that he was a quietly very Christian guy whose faith guided him into a lot of service work, and whose career in cycling has been defined in part by his getting his designs ripped off more than a couple times. This is a huge bummer
I still have ritchey stems on almost all my bikes. They are unequivocally the best and sleekest for my use. [redacted] I have mixed feelings.

All the non-quill stems on my bikes are Ritchey. That’s really more due to the fact they were super duper on sale when they changed graphics. Honestly prefer the Easton stem/face plate interface, but they were not on sale when I bought all the sizes (only then they went on super sale later on).

Time only stems I have every broken are Ritcheys. And that’s on road bikes. Not using any currently. This was probably 10 years ago so I am sure they are better now.

So if Ritchey and Thompson are run by buttholes, is 3T the next best option? I already like their alloy bars, but don’t know much about stems and seatposts. IS Deda good?

They’re probably all buttholes. Ritchey is particularly annoying because if he’s a trumpkin that means all of his alleged christianity is a fucking lie covering white supremacy.
