You’re right — Panaracer does not make tires that are tubeless compatible. That was my mistake, and you’re correct for pushing back on that.

i’d rather have PLP, Gary’s Projects, 2ndLifeBikes, etc. getting some views and doing ATB life propaganda than have the entirety of the airwaves
The funny thing about Gary is that in the 00s he was dabbling in rollerblading and the ocassional skateboard then got in FGFS and when that fizzled out started taking resto-mod 26er"s on old school local XC trails. It became a buisness of sorts.

Well. The Jones 32” is rideable. Haven’t been able to actually get it outside and rip it but I have ridden it 15’ back and forth in my basement. It fits great unsurprisingly, and looks totally insane from the side. It has a ton of stack with the truss fork upper and 80mm +17° stem, so I suspect I’ll be bringing that down. And to that effect, I feel a mile high, maybe a touch higher than my Starling. It’s also a lot lighter than I was expecting. I’m hoping to hit some singletrack and take decent pictures on the Lordt’s day.

Saw a bunch of 32 at made today. I’m not sure they’re for anyone shorter than ~5’7
I asked everyone I talked with what they thought of them and the range of responses was “idk I don’t want them” to “I think they’re stupid”

I’m fully committed to the project of rigid mountain bikes, and in my experience bigger has always been better. So for that use case I’m super excited.
Pretty ridiculous that it doesn’t fit on my bike rack and is just so ridiculously long though.

I like when his work takes some thinking about angles and such. This is a fun design challenge. Making another gravel bike, like most of his other bikes, is not an interesting design challenge.

First impressions are really really good. I need to get it out on some trails (which I’m planning on tomorrow morning), but my first feelings are the following:

the bike kinda looks crazy from the side but feels totally fine when JRA

the rollover is no joke, I think it’s the feeling I’ve been searching for on a rigid MTB. It just glides. I was aiming for holes and chunk on that double track and it’s just totally fine

over chatter it kind of feels like it has Cushcore, but I’m not running inserts. It’s just so nice and damped, it’s amazing

it definitely has more wheel flop than a 29er (duh) but I think in a good way, like on a modern trail bike. I think the Jones geo is right on for the wagon wheels.

How tall are you? Aside from the truss fork it looks surprisingly normal

yeah it looks basically normal, proportionally. Given the LWB is already long, I guess that makes sense. I’m sure it’s massive in person but in pictures it really looks like Just A Bike.
