im glad i realized that 32s would fit on my jones a few months after i committed to a custom 29 plus wheelset. there’s just no way i would have been able to resist.

Deore long pull levers. They’re… fine. They have a hinging clamp. My favorite min-max brakes is Paul levers + BB7 calipers but I gotta rub some more pennies together before I buy some.

I was always heavy resisting the industry push for electronic shifting and 12 and 13 speed and microspline and even XD freehub bodies.
It’s nice to see something simple like a big wheel that I actually am at least a bit curious about running on a low-tech rigid thing.

That’s exactly my feeling. The drivetrain marketing psyop is totally ridiculous to me. On the other hand, I know what geometry I seem to like, so from there it’s just messing with the most important and fun parts to mess with on a bike— which is wheels/tires and handlebars.

Made was pretty cool. Pretty bikes galore.
Sup liked the many pretty color combos, and I was also surprised at pink and turquoise or close color ortliebs. She almost needed a poopbarn bike to never poopbarn on to get those bags.
Didn’t see Igor on first go past booth. Also sad Charlie from berd wasn’t there because I was racing with him at Psu when he was developing the spokes and holy shit they have taken off to an expected degree. Would love to hear how it all escalated
