Bike build-off also known as What are you buidling? (or BBOAKAWAYB for short)

Haha! no worries, I was just trying to be the best enabler I can be.

haha it’s appreciated. I just realized my dad hasn’t talked to me in like 5 days, which has been since I told him I was going to build the Kilo instead of sell it. I think he was butthurt

my girlfriends dad is a machinist. hes currently out of work.

its probably cos your kilo is pink

magenta motherfucker

Pretty soon I’ll be building up a Raleigh Team Racing USA frameset from Scrub. Nothing special really, just building it up with spare parts I have in my parts bin.

I’m really excited to have another road bike though.

Threw on some new rubber. Pro Race 3 with the white sidewalls. Looks pretty sick. COME ON BOSS GET BACK SO I CAN DO SOME LAPS.

Me too. I learned manual machining BITD, I need to hit up the community college for solidworks and g-code classes.

Neil, what kind a table you got?
Haco table. 6’ x 22’ Thickest we have cut has been 1.5" Its a really easy table to learn on.

or solid marble.
i see this every day. cutting granite is much more fascinating as it is the hardest rock on earth.

rly? oops
does it count if you do it on an mtb on singletrack?

6x22? Got damn! What do you normally cut on this?

We build fully custom utility and service trucks. mostly 1/8" alum or 14Ga. steel. one sheet is cutting the second one is set on the table. Its fun to try to keep up when cutting 14 or 16GA. at 250-400ipm

Very cool. I assume you’re using a Hypertherm cutter?

you are correct.

Also makes me wish I had a reason to use my spoolgun. It’s really only useful for industrial applications like aluminum service bodies and dump beds.

Finally got time to fix the table. sorry for the shitty phone pics

Looks pretty good. Using FineCut consumables on the torch?

I was actually just going to encourage more pictures in this thread.

Good form, sir. Good form.

ghetto-ass work stand teaser shot

Secks.
