Oh that’s a great idea. I think that I can place mine there.
My idea was to have the handlebar mounts in a good position relative to the stem and have the bag mounts as wide as possible for leverage on the bag.

I volunteer to test this product.
I have a Molle pukebacking bar sling so I intend to get one of those.
It looks perfect for basketpacking
add rear pouches to your Wald
Wasn’t someone doing that here with the old Alice clip pouches?

this whole deal is like metal basket rivendelling the artisan rando bag
this practice needs nomenclature
beausketsage ?
I use one of these to hold my wallet, tools and ulock when basketeering. Molle bags are an infinite rabbit hole of possibility, but mil spec can be heavy and expensive

That army surplus pouch is great. I’ve been wearing it on my belt all day like a dork.
That’s beautiful jimmy.

but I’ve gone through like 3 of them…
It doesn’t have to last forever, it cost eight bucks!
I wish it had a little loop around the cord keeper so I could close it one handed, but whatever.
Here it is on my bike. So far it’s been way more useful than Jandd tube bag it replaces:
I got one of these:
Cevinee Molle Water Bottle Pouch

It’s the same dimensions as the Revelate feed bag. It doesn’t have a foam stiffener, and the drawstring section is shorter. However since there’s no stiffener you can still close the bag. You could use the front molle straps to run a second strap around your stem. The bottom is mesh so I wouldn’t put anything heavy and sharp in it.
It will easily hold a squealer (945ml) with just the neck popping out the top and it’s not a tight fit. Anything that’s up to ~110mm diam and 180mm tall will fit.
Two snap fixed straps can loop around the bars/basket but it needs a 3rd to stabilise I think, “Molle” straps on the back under the straps/loops could do this. Slip pockets each side, one mesh, one solid, tops are slightly elasticised, tight if the main pocket is full. Pleated expanding pocket on the front, velcro closure & D pull. Shock cord closure for main pocket only closes down to leave a ~1" hole. Internal liner is same material as closure, both much lighter than the outer fabric. small velcro closed stash pocket inside also. No drain hole. Weighs 132g
Cost me AUD$8 on ebay and arrived in under 2 weeks from China.
I love that someone on Tarck is still using a CETMA. The guy I sold mine to for $50 was willing to just give it back to me for free but I didn’t even care enough to ride one mile to get it. It’s not a good rack, but I beat the shot out of it for five years and it never broke. I guess that counts for something. Now I wish I had gone to get it.
if it survives rusty, it must be pretty durable
