di2 DQs

Those are 8000 series, no?

You’ll probably want:
FD-R8050 front mech
RD-R8050-GS rear mech (medium cage coz Rusty)
or… RD-RX805-GS if you want a clutch

A Junction
SM-EW90 (I still have one of these if you want) or…
EW-RS910 which goes in the end of some drop bars

B Junction
SM-JC41 (internal 4-port)
SM-JC40 (external 4-port)

Battery
BM-DN100 and maybe if you want a bottle cage mount battery…
SM-BTC1 (I have a spare of this as well)

Etube wires of various lengths.

Uh… the SM-BTC1 external battery mount includes a B junction.

Those are 6870
They’ll work with everything modern

ftfy. Shifters are the one thing that Shimano didn’t go ham with compatibility-wise.

What I’d do with them is:

  • A junction: Anything
  • FD/RD: Anything compatible with the junction (the ew67a is a lovely sleek little unit, but it won’t work with XT pushers & danglers)
  • Battery: Anything.

ok i think they took the crank too far this time

Looks like a campy crank atmo.

But will it yeet itself into two pieces?

Also bless the hearts of every online brand that clearly can’t take the time to properly set up a bike before photographing a bike because it probably doesn’t matter anyway

Seems likely as it appears to be the same two piece bonded together design.

Though I hear they’ve improved the bonding process.

I’ve been seeing plenty of cracked R8000 so I’m skeptical.

Okay I have an 8070 group complete save for rotors. I had planned on using it for a new road bike, but now I’m thinking of throwing a cross bike together for a 4 race series in the south bay.

What’s the move? 2x with some cross/nerd rings? Or the regular Ultegra di2 shifters should work with the grx 1x derailleur right? Does di2 mtb derailleur make sense or work?

Any Di2 rear mech will work as a 1x mech, presuming you have enough capacity. If you want 2x for cross, the GRX front derailleur will work better with smaller rings. It’s designed for a 48t ring. Pretty sure most mountain derailleurs are designed for 38t rings.

it’s important that the derailleurs are in the same discipline if you go 2x

system won’t work with a mtb RD and road FD, fwiw

if it’s 1x, Robert is your Aunts Husband

This morning my Bullitt stopped shifting so I rode around single speed all day. I figure it’s my battery holder thing which looks like this but I broke the little flippy arm thing off like a year ago. It’s worked fine until today. Also, this one doesn’t work when I plug it into my voodoo but it does make the little light go on.

When I plugged this one in to the system, it still didn’t work. I’m assuming it needs some kinda firmware something something or something?
I dunno. I’m about ready to build a single speed wheel for that bike and call it good.

I am never opening this thread again

Thanks for sharing.

I love the Bullitt so much more now that it has normal, cable actuated, external gears instead of electric internal gears.

Beep booping the mtb. Expect stupid di2 questions. Mainly fussing over routing the wires.

It shifts, just has a jumble of wire with lengths for a different bike

Unsure what to do with this area. Leaving the just the wire doesn’t seem right. I have some heat shrink I think will help.

I think what you’re looking for are di2 wire covers…Face(?) posted about them awhile back.

agree’d they rule. good for externally routing dynamo wire as well
