Did you just ShartQ?

Rear on the TA Evasion drops in perfectly every time, but the front is a struggle for whatever reason. Nothing ever lines up.

I got better at putting QR/disc wheels back on my NFE but I can’t say what I’m doing differently. Maybe there’s more clearance now that I gouged enough metal out of the chainstay.

Sounds like the fork is a hair out of alignment or something.

I ended up going to 140mm rotors on he rear of my NFE. Way too much gouging was going on.

Interesting! Do you notice a difference with the smaller rotor?

It’s easier to get the wheel in…
As for braking, haven’t really noticed a difference, but I also haven’t done anything epic in a while.

Interesting. I went to 180mm on the front of NFE to get caliper out of the way of rack & fender stuff. The rear is tricky to mount w/o metal scraping but am having better luck with the dangler set to mid-way up cassette.

If I’m unhappy with the stock lever on a derper, hate the cable angle, etc, is using an old Gripshifter to operate it worth considering? I’ve heard of people doing it, but I’ve not seen it in the wild.

Okay so this is not apparently a problem that only I am having, and Strava said they fixed it, then I looked on twitter and people are saying they still have the problem (I still have the problem as well)

I think 2024 is the year I switch to Ride with GPS

SQ does RWGPS track component mileage and stuff like that

There is a maintenance log on the web interface. I don’t see how to get into that on the app, though.

You can always record the ride with RWGPS and sync it to Stava.

I don’t need anything that complicated. I just like making the numbers go up and tracking chains and brake pads and stuff. I’m not fast enough to make use of many other Strava features, just had inertia there.

i’m so out of the game at this point. what’s the best bong/sub-bong road/gravel themed bike with drop bars? asking for a friend.

Maybe some brands are off-loading stock on ExpertVoice? But Outpost Richmond stocks Norco and Marin in that price range and they don’t seem to mess around so I’d take those as recs

Marin Gestalts are solid, if more all-road than full grav grav.
Nicasio is steel boi but wider tires compatible.
Spec Diverge E5 (alloy) may be not best value, but if they need name brand for 1300 (maybe some sales to be had around or soon)-38mm tires.
State bicycle 6061 BLACK LABEL ALL-ROAD is what, State-brand Sensah 1x11? for 1100

unlikely to ever end up on singletrack or much actual gravel. but philly streets are pretty chunky sometimes. i think $bong is his upper end but i do have outdoorprolink and maybe still expertvoice so that’s good to remember. this is a v close friend who was my best man so i don’t mind bending a rule here and there

Breezer Radar Expert is 1.1bong, 700Cx45mm tires, 46/30 x 11-36 2x9 drivetrain. Mix of Shimano Sora and Deore, or Microshift.

1.2bong gets you the Breezer Doppler Pro with a similar drivetrain but 2x10, 650Bx47 tires, and dynamo lights, which seems like a screaming nerd-deal?

ooh i keep forgetting breezer exists. both of those bikes are sw8.

Marino unless you’re in a hurry!

Like @frank_doctor said Marin Nicasio. With AAC discount $700 for Advent or $1100 for Tiagra

I also kind of think Jamis Renegades are probably good.

Breezer makes the best bikes no one knows about.

Adding to the pile:

Poseidon drop-bar for a buck under a bong.

State Bikes 4130 for a hundred bucks under a bong.
