There are some jokers on brianforums who say you can run a regular short cage (33t max) AXS RD with the 36t cassette. Any of yall have experience with this? Does it actually work?
I wanna put AXS 43/30 and 10-36 on my Checkpoint but itās gonna be weird since BB90 wonāt take a DUB spindle. So I want to get one of those cheap Universal AXS kits, the right cassette, a set of 24mm AXS arms, and the spider/chainrings all separately, but I donāt want to have to fuck around with trading out derders.
Possibly theyāre thinking of the newer Force and Rival, which have one RD to cover 28-36t cassettes? Older Force and Red had/have two, one for up to 33t and one for 36t.
