Did you just ShartQ?

That dude that did the Lewis brake video also has one about why the Shimano MT520 is the best brake ever.

In this house, we dither.

What’s the most cromulent and cheap manual lever dropper post? The kind with the lever under the saddle. Something well under 100$

This tire has like a dozen of these seeping punctures but has yet to go flat or loose an appreciable amount of air overnight. Should I replace it?

I’d probably see if I could plug them or superglue them to keep them from weeping and just keep yoloing it.

I’d say rinse the tire out really well and start with fresh sealant. My uneducated assumption is this is caused by the sealant breaking down/separating. Getting as much of the old goop out and starting over seems to help.

But also if it’s holding air, fuckit.

My assumption is that it’s from a bunch of tiny glass punctures.
If I’m going so far as taking the tire off the rim, I’ll just replace the thing, it’s old but the wear indicator is still just barely visible.

Here’s a stupid shartq - a coworker gave me a Sekai 2500 Grand Tour frame and it has canti posts. I tried finding an example online, but all that I found were caliper brake models. Anyone familiar with these and could tell me if they are set up for 700c or 27" wheels? I asked google and I only found 2500s with caliper brakes.

stupid answer, stick a 700c wheel in it and measure stud to rim distance, compare to a frame you know takes 700s?

edit:

found this, 27in.

My advice is saw the cantis off, get Tektro 559s or whatever their long reach caliper is, and run those.

almost certainly 27ā€

which means it’s scrap metal imo

I don’t currently have any 700c wheels and I was trying to determine if this frame was worth tracking some down for - turns out the answer is no. Life is too short for me to put any more effort into a 27" wheeled bike.

Home boy also gave me a Nishiki Modulus frame - gonna dither that thing instead.

One time I built a set of 27" wheels for a frame Ash bought on CL. It was a nice bike, a Miyata 610, but it was too big and yeah, it had 27" wheels.
Cute bike. They sold it with the dynamo setup and I see it around town from time to time. Kind of a weird feeling to think that some random person is out there riding on some wheels I built. I think that those are the only wheels I’ve built that I’ve sold to a rando.

Okay hold up I just realized that listing is here in Fargo and like what are the chances I’m not the only person with a canti-2500 in this two horse town?

Any concerns with clamping a dropper seatpost in a work stand?

don’t scratch the slippy part

or do I don’t know. some of mine have plenty of scratches. it doesn’t matter, nothing matters.

I hang my Bullitt from the dropper all the time. It’s developed quite a bit of side to side play but it always had a little.

PWB screwed up my order. Should I make a stink or just build the wheel and get on with my life?(assuming that the spokes are the right length)

Dans comp did that to me one and I got one laser spoke that I ordered and all the rest were straight gauge. They cut me all new spokes. Too bad they don’t do that anymore. I’d at least tell them they fucked up
