Did you just ShartQ?

Probably a minivelo

aren’t most bromptons 16"

yeah the ISO 349mm variant

Quick look at Brompton site shows they do have a disc model now but it is pretty new and has 20ā€ wheels

I’m personally a fan of the ā€˜fastback’ style where the stays go directly into the back of the lug below the cinch bolt. Not into the bolt assembly or part of it (that looks weird), but below.

Yeah that can look a little weird but exceptions can be made atmo

No shade on Igor and company but you’re literally in the best city in the world to test ride a Kyoot minivelo, assuming you don’t want all the warts or something else the Neutrino offers (like different sizes, lol).

I mean, I don’t know that I actually want a minivelo lol The Kyoot doesn’t look too bad, didn’t know that was an Austin thing. I do kinda want a bike to leave at the in-laws but it will need to be a bit cheaper than that!

If any local listings show up, an Itty Bitty frameset would be the best if you want to build it up from parts. It’s just a regular 100/135 Q/R spacing and nothing unusual except for needing a BMX headset.

You could also ask Kyoot if they’re going to do any more runs of the Itty Bitty framesets if you decide to dither that way. I think those were $700 for the frameset in the pre-tariff era.

Lots of brompton clones out there with dicks and danglers

don’t look small enough

They’re more likely the normal 406mm BSD aka BMX 20" size

where the rims by themselves physically measure 16" in outside diameter, and the same 406mm BSD is called 16" in moped tires where the rims/tires are completely interchangeable with 20" BMX

Lets talk numb hands. After selling the Crust I picked up a used Spec ebike and it’s fine. An embarrassing dorky bike but I’ve enjoyed riding again.

But I can’t get my hands comfortable. I’ve tried long stems, short stems, low bars, tall bars, different grips (two types of Ergons as well), different saddles, different saddle heights and positions, and nothing helps. By the time I get to work my hands are numb.

I’ve never experienced this on any other bike. WTF do I do? I’m about to sell the thing out of frustration.

Is this your first ebike?

Yeah, but I rented a couple Terns before this one and didn’t have any issues

Does that include different saddle angles? I’ve noticed a little bit of an angle adjustment can make a big difference for me when it comes to numb hands.

I’ve gone nose up a tiny amount but I don’t have room for much adjustment with the two bolt chairpole clamp.

Might be worth trying another post. I’ve had that same issue with multiple posts, can’t get enough nose up for some of my preferred saddles (B68, C67) or even some others depending on the angle of the rails to the butt surface.

Assuming everything else is fine about the saddle, call me a 1-degree-er because sometimes that makes all the difference (angles measured with my phone).

WTH wahoo bolt gen 1 head unit I bought used on here a couple years ago is giving me trouble. Continually loses connection to GPS and/or radar tail light.

DQ is there a fix for this or is it finally time for a new computer?

There’s a GPS rollover issue afflicting Wahoo units, they said they’re working on a fix

Thanks. But you’re not helping me spend money on a fancy new computer. This is not the spirit of Tarck.
