i’m not ever sure that derailleur is real?
whats special about this derder, it looks like a bucklos derder.
Yeah ok Merry Sales just makes up fake pictures and fake listings for fake products for reasons
next thing you know he’ll be saying it’s the swedish version of dubai chocolate
he should get a dubai derailleur
OK, I typed from memory, it’s the S-Ride M520C.
I tried to run the 40t cassette hack on 2x GRX and it didn’t work, but by every account this derailleur will. I want HEUG RANGE on the Vaya, and I’d rather have it via swapping a cheap RD and cassete vs. trying to source a White Industries crankset.
Europe has some ‘alt’ bike stuff, but a very, very narrow range compared to the US, so I’ve had to look internationally for some boutique parts. This is one of them.
PS am I the only one who thinks Dubai Chocolate is just wealthy sheiks astroturfing the meme to distract from the Dubai Port-a-Potty yacht girl thing to rehabilitate their image?
The model number changed for some unknown reason too.
I have an extra one but am in the US, however I will be in Paris next month if you can wait.
Oh, that would be perfect. Thanks a ton!
Yeah, next month is no problem at all. I’ll PM you.
Paris in September is lovely
What a lovely solution to a problem!
What are the threads for on SRAM XD and XDR rear hubs? They’re right up against the splines, is that where the equivalent of an old style lockring is integrated into the cassette?
Am I an idiot for buying a new chain just so I can switch over to waxed-base lube and not have to clean my current, perfectly good chain? I mean I will still probably want to get the oil from the factory off the new one so I don’t know what I’m really accomplishing here and I might as well just clean the one I have!

men will do anything not to wipe their filthy fucking bicycle chains
I need to get some more dollar store toothbrushes
ATMO totally fine to buy new chains to switch to wax
In my experience it takes more work to degrease a dirty chain (or at least, one that’s been lubed and ridden for a while) than a new one.
That’s not to say that you can’t or that it’s not worth it. That’s up to you!
I have this super old thing from White Lightning that the wife got me probably 10 years ago that’s never been used. Maybe I should fill it with LA’s Totally Awesome [As Seen on TV] and try it out.
I was super close to buying one of those for cleaning carburetors
