Did you just ShartQ?

also the trajectory from bicycle influencer to bike brand owner is not that far off

They pop up on FBM occasionally.

FWIW, I sold my other bikes after purchasing an LWB v3 complete. It does everything I want for the space I’m in right now.

What size are you looking for?

Uncle JJ’s vague site tells me I ride a medium.

oh but now im seeing there are some SWB medium diamond truss sets available on his site? would i be a coward to not go full LWB?

im going to throw up.

Sounds like a conversation with JJ is in order. You should experience that at least once.

The only winning move is not to play

Think of the LWB as the MTB, and the SWB as the ATB!

I had a SWB space frame and didn’t care for it (possibly because of the 27.5+ wheels).

I know it’s kinda pointless to try to diagnose creaks and clunks over the internet but sometimes y’all give some good suggestions.

Noticed a shhhk shhhk shhhk noise on my ride today. Each shhhk coincided with a revolution of the cranks, only happened when pressing on the NDS pedal, didn’t occur when pedaling backwards, and still seemed to occur when I got out of the saddle. At first I thought it was just a dry chain but the left-pedal-only aspect spooked me. Also this is the bike that I recently built a rear wheel for, but it still looks true.

The bike is filthy so I decided to start taking apart the cranks since they would at least use a wipe-down and regrease of everything. Looked over the frame and didn’t see any cracks anywhere. So far the pedals and cranks seemed tight, and the square taper BB spins smoothly. Still need to remove and regrease the BB and put it all back together.

Weird things I haven’t accounted for yet - a rivet fell out on the DS of my old Selle Anatomica saddle, and it seems like my NDS Ortlieb wasn’t clipped on all the way. Any of this ringing any bells for anybody on anything else I need to check?

Disc brakes or thru axle, by chance? That sounds like a wheel flopping in the dropouts.

QR x rim brake. I am using bolt on skewers so I should probably check those too

A way to rule that out is by cranking out of the saddle. It should get worse/louder out of the saddle.if it goes away, then you can start looking at the saddle/chairpole interface.

I have a creak in my plastic roadie at the moment that I thought was coming from the rear. Now I am convinced its actually dry cables or fork/headset creakery. Will smash it with a topical blast of silicone or the like. Good luck.

I’d get an LWB but then you might want to keep it forever.

Well whatever it was appears to have been fixed. It was probably the skewers, but it can’t have hurt to do a little R&R on the BB area

This bike is riding just fine and I’m happy with the tire pressures I’ve dialed in. I have not noticed any burps or undue air leakages, but why sealant splatter only on drive side? Tell me it’s the because my legs are super powerful and not just because I’m substantial and put too much Stan’s in there.

Tires move on hard brakes too

the signs of centripetal force rather than gravity says it happened on a ride. you got a little burp and it resealed. drive side is just random
