My plan has been to hang tight until Bike24 starts shipping to the US again. I was just looking around at buying stuff domestically and unfortunately 50 Euro shipping + an extra 15% is still cheaper for B&M and Tubus

a robot lady answered and when i hit 3 to inquire about inventory robot lady told me to go to the website.

i wont dig any deeper and my disappointment is immeasurable. expected a sleepy JJ to wake up and groggily field my questions and ask about my day. got fucking robot lady.

Which rim brakes do I need for:

  • 36mm (or more) tire clearance
  • short caliper…stack? width? needs to fit behind a front rack with a tombstone and crown support tang but tall enough to clear a headset cup
  • nutted axle

I have R539s installed now and the front caliper arm has like 2mm of clearance with the rack, and won’t clear these Strada Bianchas.

i have a similar issue i’m planning to solve with sram red aerolink brakes and a 7mm offset brakeshoe from Taiwan

(i also emailed cane creek asking if they had any of the small run of “gravel” ee brakes they allegedly did for rob english the other year, not exactly holding my breath)

buddie’s older brother who has a fleet of custom stuff that would make you all cry had the full truss ti . he came with us to ride trails and right after we left the cars he cracked the faceplate on his thompson stem so he had to go home and I didn’t get to try it.
