I talked to Jeff, and the space frame has some flex, which makes it plane for folks of average-ish size. I’ve seen plenty of folks wax poetic about the magic carpet ride. Unfortunately, not recommended for a big clyde like myself.
Counter; I like the diamond+truss look more than the space frame.

Thanks for reaching out, happy to help. We don’t have anymore of those , however I have a meeting this afternoon with my PM to see if these have a chance of returning or what possibly could be a new version of the gravel eeBrakes. Let me reach back out to you say tomorrow after my meeting and I’ll let you know what we come up with, so you’ll have a definitive yeah or nay regarding the brakes. Cheers
I never detected any additional plushness with my space frame.
If anyone ever sees an LWB medium for sale, please post. Curious that JJ is out of just about everything.
They pop up on FBM sometimes. If I see one, I’ll post it here.
Even in Europe? A few places sell framesets here.
I found this pic doing brake reach dithering with those drop pad holders. Doesn’t look promising with wide tires.
sq: is there such a thing as a chairpole where the angle and clamping are totally separate? having a hard time micro adjusting my 2-bolt because the required clamp force pulls the angle off the set point
Someone used to make one but I am having trouble finding it. The clamp had a pivot on one end and then a short linkage to a collar that you could slide up and down the post to adjust the angle (and then tighten separately)

you just have to work them back and forth a little.
ew.
ok yeah that’s not gonna work
CC better come through!
went down a little gted rabbit hole there, i did not know his son passed in august, thats totally gutting.
yes that’s the thing I remembered!
Sorry man bad news, that was a favor from the CEO to Rob. No go on them returning, at least for now.
wack
how might we use agentic AI to hit all social channels and corpro inboxes and bully CC into doing another batch of wide mouth brakes
I’m going to run my Ritchey carbon fork at max allowable spacers (30mm) does an extended compression plug provide reinforcement or just pointless belt-and-suspenders? This one would extend ~30mm below the top bearing.
Rusty ass compression plug
I’ve got a cheap uno branded one that came from my LBS so prob from the Q catalog. It’s two bolt head but the head and chair pole have the little teeth so it locks the angle in place to make fore aft adjustment easy without adjusting the angle. That said it’s not infinite adjustable in angle due to the tooth on tooth action
