Did you just ShartQ?

seems to me that there are a large number of phil grease tubes available on tarck that are not being used

How many tubes of Phil to fill a 60cm long 27.2mm ID tube?

One could figure that out using math.

27.2D tube has a volume of 5.81069 cm3 per cm

I think

Who is the math teacher

Yeah… maybe if it’s straight gauge, poindexter. Even surly’s got some butts.

also depends on how much seat post you have, whether or not filling the post is required and if so, whether the post needs to be filled to the top of the post or the top of the seat tube.

Huh
When I read 27.2 ID I guess I made the assumption that it was an externally butted seat tube

No seat post mentioned. Maybe it’s a trials bike

it’s not even stated that it’s a seat tube

let alone if it’s at standard temperature and pressure or not

We need more information Mr. @Face!

@Timarchylime please address this calculus question for us

It’s a v2 CG, EA70 chairpole.

a 27.2ID x 55cm straight turdly no-butts tube would hold 319.59cm³ of grease. That does not account for its intersection with the BB or anything else. If you want the rest I’d probably just model it out in cad and pull numbers from there.

Nah, just the seat tube. And can you give me the volume in units of phill wood tubes?

The shop tub is 650 mL; the green squeeze tube says 85g but without knowing density I can’t convert. So half a tub.

What’s the conversion from tubs to tubes?

22.5:3 in ounces as printed, so 3 ¾ tubes.
