Externally-butted seat tubes still have an internal butt at the bottom too, normally 28.6 .9/.6 with the bulge at the top being an integrated substitute for a sleeved collar

You may note that the actual ID is closer to 27.4 at the business end of the seat tube

1. we have decided that people can ride whatever saddle they want…as long as it’s not a brooks on a straight post
2. we are fairly equal opportunity on wheel size…as long as you’re not doing some sort of low trail 700c falsehood
3. uh…really stretching here…we do not have super strong opinions on pedals except for those awful MKS ones that we hate, and also that crank brothers suck…ok take this one off the list, pedals totally matter

tried capturing a pros leg extension here. Obviously missed the bottom and some ankling going on but is it fair to say his seat is lower than others? Not saying it’s wrong or right, just noticing that his legs don’t extend as much as mine and wondering what effects this has
