PERFECT. I will hit up my bike shop buddies and get a few ordered. Thanks.

Wow, those are like note-for-note copies of the Revelate bags. They look good but they cost the same as the wholesale on a Revelate, which obviously would be my first choice.

I actually forgot to order these for you.

But yeah the sunlite ones are good. The Serfas ones are great and only a little more money.

it’s a 90% copy of what Revelate made 3-4 years ago

Their current model is really fucking polished. It’s now slightly triangular when empty, and they’ve further refined all the attachment points and one-hand-closure hardware

I bought four red ones from REI that were inexplicably on super sale, and they’re so much nicer than any of the fancy artisanal maker ones I have

What stem lengths are you using with those revelate feedbags?

My Blackburn was ok with 90mm, when I went down to 80 it’s a bit cramped

Yeah, you’re right. It’s 90% of my Revelate, which is like 5 years old at this point. The new ones with the one-handed opening and closing is really a beautiful thing, and since you mentioned it, maybe a better plan is to buy myself a nice new Revelate and move my old one to commuter duty

Your leg extention is not the same sitting up in the hood VS in the drops and scooted forward on the saddle. He’s way forward on the seat and rotated. This effectively lowers your saddle height by steepening the angle. I’m sure sitting up and sitting back on the saddle he has a fairly typical knee angle.

They’re also likely really limber compared to us “sitting at a computer for many hours a week” schmoes. His lower back is relaxed and flexible, which I think gives the illusion that his saddle could be higher.

But yes I’ve noticed this as well. I’ve viewed the Tour for the roadside a handful of times and it is even more pronounced then. The other explanation I have is they are genetic freaks and it kind of doesn’t matter how they sit on a bike.

Yes I too noticed that a lot are riding very much towards the front of the seat at certain efforts.

Real talk but my nether regions hurt so I don’t understand where their things retract to

I prefer a lower saddle and less straight knee like that. Otherwise I have gotten some pain. I figure the difference in power or whatever is negligible for me since I’m nowhere close to being efficient anyway. And its more comfortable.

Also presumably you are not paid according to your pedaling performances.

No of course not.

You are probably getting more power, not less.

The typical KOPS seat height and fore/aft measurement is to make things best for the average persons knees and isn’t at all tied to where you put out the most power.

Pedal harder and there will be less prsssure on your junk.

Don’t you tend to slide forward on the saddle when you’re pushing the bike as fast as possible, then slide back when you relax?

Will a 10-sp Shimano Dura Ace RD-7800 GS Dangler play nice with 11-sp ST-R8000 Levers & an 11-sp cassette?
I think I am officially past my 10-sp downtube shifter phase.

i am SO confused with modern drivetrains!

NO.

Here’s why…

Lucky for you, new danglers are relatively cheap.

Also I tried to mix 9 speed bar end shifters with a shimano mtb dangler, and let’s just say it worked in the middle of the cassette and was bad at either end. Switched to friction and used it until the frame was sold.
