Did you just ShartQ?

well you’ve taken the plunge into tubeless

I’d try taking the core out (leave the valve stem itself on the rim) before getting things soapy. Presta valve severely limits airflow, making your blaster booster thing a bit useless.

Is this what low volume tubeless is like? I must admit I haven’t messed with tires narrower than 42 since I sent @JUGE_FREDD my used 23mm Hutchinson Atoms like a decade ago. I not only sealed those up easily but rode them without goop inside, like a dummy. The beads was pretty much impossible to manipulate though.

If the core is in, you will not win

I’ve seated 25mm Schwalbe Ones and 32mm GP5ks with a standard floor pump with valve core removed. Sometimes the bead seats a little unevenly and takes some massaging and a lot of pressure and soapy water to get it completely even all around the rim, but I haven’t had a problem getting a basic seal.

Didn’t realize you had one of those pumps. In that case yeah I don’t think CO2 is going to be much more effective.

I have a pair of GP5000s sitting around that I will use some day. The sidewalls on those are much stiffer. I imagine they would be much easier to seal. The Vittorias are babby soft, even more floppy than a Compass extralight.

Anyway I’ve got a project for tonight at least: Lube up, yank the core, get that floppy thing remounted, and then pump hard and long. Hopefully I won’t squirt too much juice.

I don’t really see what you’re grinding towards, but I know that it will either come or bleed over into tomorrow.

My GP5000TLs seated very easily, no soap, no drama, etc. The bead was pretty snug on the wheel and they seated and held air immediately with no sealant.

Don’t inseminate the tires until the beads are seated!

Oh yeah, this takes a sealant syringe and is much easier and less messy.

Can someone please just make a fucking video

We would use ratchet straps around the tire when we would have to see difficult tires at work. Worked out really well

You have to go to pornhub

This shouldn’t really be necessary in 2020. I’ve done it with reens in the past.

I think that those stiff sidewalls really help.

I also read that soap can fuck up your sealants mellow. I have no idea really but it made me feel nice not to use it.

The sealant itself is pretty slippery when wet so you can def sponge a little bit on the sidewalls, rim, and tape to help it slide up onto the shelf.

Can confirm. Tire sealant is all over the back seat of my car. The free bottle i got wasnt fully tight

cannot wait to hear about what transpired in @anon3547885 s dungeon.

Just a note that it is 11:20 and he hasn’t reported back.

It’s 1120pm, do you know where your sealant is?
