I think we talked about this on oldtärck but my favorite way to set up vntg cantis is to ditch the straddle, use rear cable hanger to make a link wire, and install a ball bearing roller at the crown. Enduro and FSA make Italian threaded BBs for 30mm. Sram makes one for DUB.

I think it’s kind of a low end Walmart kind of thing. I did see some here but think they are also in Oz. Actually, if I rack my brane, I think some buddies raced a decent version of them in the XC scene in the late 90’s, so they had real shitter Warehouse bikes, and actual decent bikes as well. All of the better ones were alloy. The shit models were all straight gauge steel. Maybe they made some nicer ones in steel too, I’ve just never seen one.
