Hahahahahano.
No lies detected here
Which thread? I havenāt been by in a while since it devolved to mostly buy/sell posts.
I have token tk667n headset for my nordavinden, I kablammed one set of bearings (I brake very hard) but just bought a few spares.
In my experience all of them.
hey didnāt tarck come to the conclusion that the double actuation of TRP mech disc brakes was useless and works no better than single actuation like a bb7?
I need someone smarter than me to go to my Instagram post and make someone feel bad in the comments.
yes they are squeezing too much mechanism into not enough space
The lever clamp bolt on my TRP Hylex brakes is stripped. Looked for a new one and the best I can do is thos one from England
Iād rather not wait 2-6 weeks for delivery or pay $45 for rush shipping.
Is there likely anything I can get a hold of more easily that will work?
Almost all modern road levers are that same generic form-factor, TRP is not making anything special for those
I think only older high-end SRAM were different, with it inverted to have the moving part be a normal bolt and female threads in the clamp
You should be able to get a mechanical brake lever out of the bin at Recycled Cycles
Thanks!
Ordered the sram lever clamps that looked most similar because I donāt have time to go rummage at recycled cycles.
Once they get here my issue is gonna be getting the old one off.
Yup, I borked one and getting a new one was annoying. I had the regular style in my parts bin but that wouldnāt work and everywhere was out of stock.
Thankfully my LBS had a crash damaged parts lever they gave me the clamp from.
B ordered some new s shoes. They sent her two pairs; the ones she ordered, and a pair of recon 2s in one size smaller than what I wear. Would it be shitty to try to switch them out? I know the answer is sorta yes.
I think I have some spares I can send. I found the bolts to be extremely soft and easy to strip too
edit: you already bought some, never mind
Thanks for the offer!
If the ones I ordered donāt work Iāll hit you up.
I discovered the softness of lightweight clamp bolts on my campy levers too. Makes for some infuriating times when you try to do some maintenance right before a cross race.
Legally, they belong to you, now. You could return them, but you donāt really have any obligation.
The law is to prevent companies from trying to extort consumers. When itās an accident, itās an ethical grey area.
I want to exchange them for my size. hahahahaha
For most companies Iād say be nice and return them
But only if they pay for return shipping
for specialized Iād make an exception
the unethical pro tip would be to buy your size from their site, then when they arrive chat CS with a photo of the -1 size and have them exchange for the correct ones, so you have 2 in your size for the price of 1
