Did you just ShartQ?

but in general I believe in returns karma, and probably would still send them back to specialized as long as I didn’t have to foot the return postage bill

I would simply sell them to someone whom they fit on tarckbike.com

Anyone have any idea what this tab is on my moonlander bottom bracket?

Chain catcher mount?

Edit: their current moonlander data sheet doesn’t mention it. What model year do you have?

It was the first year. I can’t find any evidence of it online. I thought the same thing but only one bolt? It would have to be proprietary

Might eBay a stingray chain guard and mod the bracket.

Thank you. Didn’t know what Those where a thing

Yeah, it’s a pusher mount. My OG Pugsley had one.

SQ: Got a SRAM GX rear der and it seems to hang when shifting to smaller cogs. Setup is 11-32 with 50-34 with a fresh chain, but was present on 46-30. Is it a double thing? I think I was only able to glean the “works with road!” wisdom without much context

exact actuation or x-actuation?

Exact

Cable clamp position? I messed that up once on a sram derailleur and had similar issues.

Kinked cable or too much b-tension are the first things I would look at.

Bingo. Thank you both. Tiny kink in the cable. It’s crazy how much of an effect it has. I can barely see it after working on it and it’s better, but still gonna have to replace it.

Well I tried two different versions of this and haven’t been able to make it work for both of us. But I realized I have. 31.6 post that’s super shitty and has a 1.025 ID so I may cut that way down slot it for a clamp (would require a shim) and use it on a topper of some 1” 6061 1/8” wall for extra robustness that’s just long enough to support the thinned section of the extension so it can be dropped far enough for wife to use it. It’s really dumb but even a 450mm 25.4 post isn’t long enough for me to trust it all to not break off.

In general cranks designed for BB30 don’t have cross compatibility with BSA68 bottom brackets right? Everything I see says no but there are some oddballs that are compatible.

There’s some attractive deals right now for 5-bolt 110 bcd dead-ender stuff but it’s all BB30.

Show me

I was just about to explore this with some bb30/pf30 cranks I got for free last week…

I think it comes down to spindle length and Q. I have one pair with a long spindle and one with short. I think the short ones only work with pf30 frames while the longer ones should be good with a 30mm bsa bb.
