But that’s always full of kids and toys and bikes and junk and it’s nice to have a place to stick a backpack that’s out of reach of little chaotic fingers.
Probably once.

OX Platinum is such a nice ride, while it lasts.
Good idea
grind it down and sleeve it
…or move everything to the carbon gravel frame that’s been floating around my house for almost a year.
This Enve CX fork is going to be up for grabs soon.
Got another angle, I’m impressed:
Has anyone here had experience with the VAR flat mount facing tool?
If had a couple of incidents recently, JRA, and my rotor starts to rub, on gravgrav bike. When I get home I managed to tweak them back real easy with a big adjustable crescent. Does anyone know how you might do this in the boonies?
Little adjustable crescent?
I guess it would be possible to machine something out of a piece flat steel ? That looks a bit big for my weener kit.
Some multi tools have a rotor bending tool. I think my Topeak ones do.
it’s a slit in some steel. i think crusty is right about a lot of topeak tools. hell, worst comes to worst you could probably drop one skinny tool between two others and use that if you really need to true a rotor in the field. i’ve used my hands before, but will usually try to rub them in some dirt first
My actual Park rotor bending tool isn’t horribly heavy, i might not grav grav with it but i have gone through periods where it went around with me on the cargo bike. I bet a more portable version would be very unobtrusive and for sure could help in the field.
I usually stick a 5mm through the little holes in the rotor and bend that way
I carry this guy. The dent tool works really well as a rotor un-fucker. They added a lever option optimized for rotors since I got mine with the dent tool and I would probably opt for that version if starting over. But it still saved my ass.
I have the first version of that tool and I really love it. My open drops chains a lot and they get jammed under my chain keeper. Weirdly it happens when getting off and carrying the bike over stiles or through gates, not when I am riding. I guess I need a clutched dangler.
That bike sounds like a nightmare.
