Endpoint bikes (and Outpost) thread

Cool, It seems I may just have to upgrade to a KOM tough. which is fine. It looks like the ERD is the same between the ST and that.

I need a new through axel on the front. I dont want anymore of the ones you specked on them. It is probably user error, but they seem to strip out hella eazy.

Is there any reason I can’t use a basic mountain bike one like this?

As long as the length and thread pitch are the same you’re golden.

you had said before in this thread that my dropouts should have the thread pitch etched somewhere. I was just looking all over my fork and could not find it at all. Mine was gen 2, built by FBM, is that old enough to be 1.0?

Also what about the Mxx measure? for example, fox forks are M15 x 1.5 and rock shocks are M14 X 1.5.

Im really confused by all these measurements and it also seems that many of the ones online list brand compatibility, but dont have info about thread pitch.

edit: fuck it all, Ill just order another one from you. Can you give me an option to just buy a front one and not a set?

Should be on the axle, and the HG dropouts are Paragon 15mm x 1.5.

Paragon’s own axle (https://paragonmachineworks.com/files/public-docs/SK4025.PDF) is 125mm long, so you should be able to use any other M15 x 1.5mm x 125mm axle like Lightning Bolt-on Axle - Front 15 mm x 125 mm x 1.5 Thread - The Robert Axle Project

you can say should all you want, but there are no numbers on my axel either.

All correct.

The rear dropouts have the info on the hanger to differentiate between the two types.

Front has always been the same.

Glad a RAP one was found. They do a great job. New HG fork uses a new axle with an integrated washer which will be nicer.

Eventually we’ll go to that design across the board.

Wow the RAP through axel is one of the nicest bike parts I have ever touched. Reminded me of when I bought a white industries free wheel and I spent a good 20 minutes just fondling it.
