jeez how fucking heavy is the stock fork? i’m still pleased to have a touring capable bike that i can also do rock steps and (slow) road rides to taco bell on that’s less than 30 lbs without any balleur parts but dang knocking a pound off sounds cool

Followup DQ, the original fork is 15mm TA and the new is 12mm right? Is it possible to use the old wheel/hub somehow or would I need a new hub?

Lotta folks make 15mm to 12mm adapter sleeve you slide into your hub

I don’t think it was ever confirmed nüfork derps will clear the 15mm hub.

What’s the ideal washer stack up look like for the Milk Crate?
Bolt head > tang > fork > flat washer > wave washer > nut (?)
does it come with a wave washer? and by that do you mean split lock washer? i forget cuz it’s been a few months and more beers but split lock washers are worse than useless

ShartQ: I see at the bottom of the right leg of the Searchlight fork, there’s a dynamo wire port (hole). Where is other exit for the wire?
Bottom of steerer tube, inside the crown.
