Endpoint bikes (and Outpost) thread

Left is the older 12x1 version some early FBM built frames had. The one on the right is 12x1.5 axle that we moved to after Paragon stopped offering 12x1 as a standard option.

excellent and very good system the industry has come up with here
RIP quick release

Oh you mean the quick release where skewers can vary wildly in how much pressure the cam generates, how well the nuts bite into the frame (not to mention how well the dropout faces hold those nuts), and oh yeah those don’t even matter because half of the people treat them like wing nuts and don’t even close the cam, requiring lawyer tabs on ever frame.

Thanks Tullio, but I do not miss QRs.

at least i could put any wheel into any bike

the TA bolt is part of the frame not the wheel though

now that the dust has (basically) settled there is essentially road, mtb, and downhill just like there used to be. not sure how much mtb is holding onto 142 at this point but not a ton i don’t think

I love how varied the HG builds are. Mine is basically a parts bin nerd bike turd compared to that but both are great.

Though a HG without a dyno is kind of :colbert:

This one got a dynamo… we didn’t have it on hand when we shot the photos. It got a IQX and secuzed taillight to go with the Milk Crate rack that is also not pictured.

Is it wrong that I want to replace my OG HG fork with the new one because I like the look of the straight, tapered blades better than the bent ones?
The only thing stopping me is that my hub is 15mm instead of 12mm.

bent ones are better and you can fix your hub with a tube

My brother of tall stack, measure your steerer length first. The Searchlight fork that showed up with my current HG is shorter uncut than my cut OG fork.

@EndpointBraden whats the uncut length on the Searchlight?

Edit, straight legs will also put a Duo rack at a weird angle if you care about that. Pictured is a straight Walt fork.

The only reason to change is if you want a lighter fork.
