My gunther/ditherer cracked actually, so I had to get the gorilla monsoon (there was no way I was gonna be able to get a replacement hunter\ditherer in time for camping season)
So, for the crashreplace/warranty frame I decided to go with this instead.
Considering the abuse that the original bike had gone through, they were very reasonable and fair with the whole thing. (definitely not free though lmao)

After spending some time cruising around on my Coffee Grinder, I remembered how much I love that bike (and why riding it is good for my back). What I do not love is the fact that I have to carry stuff in a backpack.
I think this calls for a search light fork and milk crate rack, right? I know I’ll need the appropriate adapters for my DT350 hubs (currently have 15mm TA on my fork). Then I think it’s just the headset to figure out?
Right now I’ve got a tapered Niner fork. The top is a Cane Creek 40, ZS44. I think I keep that one, unless I really don’t understand this shit. Right now I’ve got an external cup (EC44) on the bottom. Do I need an external cup for the straight steerer? Is that the EC44/30? Or do I want zero stack? ZS44/30?
I haven’t thought about headsets in a long time.

I think you just need a crown race that fits the larger bearing. Pretty sure my initial steel fork had that race to fit the bigger headtube and cup. So when I got a carbon jawn, I just moved the bearing over and it was good.

Yep. Just need the correct crown race. I’ve got those and the hub adapters in stock too if you pull the trigger.

For sale → Australia folks - Harry at HUNGRY bags has a Search Light fork and Milk Crate Rack I shipped him at some point last year maybe. We are asking $400 for the set brand new, so no shipping for ya, a tiny discount as well.

15➡️12mm helps for a 12mm hub in a 15mm fork. no 15mm hub that i know of fits a 12mm endpoint fork
