Fenders

[quote=Rusty Piton]The ridiculous 80mm wide Wald fenders will fit over 2.5s for sure.

Lulz

Wald fenders are rad. I’d replace the struts and hardware, but the fenders are a-o-k.

And sometimes, like on sup’s bridgestone mb-4, the struts fit perfectly fine out of the box.

They’re calling it the Speed Mullet.

Hey guys, check out our cool cable management feature on this bike with no cables!

I don’t frequent his blog much but whenever I do I almost always see shit like this

We should start a “Dumb things that John writes” screenshot repository.

in which Prolly saves neither face nor ass?

The bike blog thread is for lovely bicycle and the redactivist.

Anyone have silver (for fop-re-enactment purposes) big fenders they like for 650b?

They’re spendy but the Honjo x Simworks Smooth 62s have been fine. They fit over the Byways with room for mud.

I was hoping for something cheaper than the Honjos, but I’m sure they are excellent.

Have I got a blog for you

Find some of the big Berthoud. Better fender anyway in my experience.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting restocking of the 650bx60mm Berthouds for a few months now.
I hate the PB ALX things I have on my D/R. So bouncy and no rolled edges!

What’s the story? I’ve noticed they kind of dried up.

PS the “650b” ones are the 26" long model. I assume that is what you mean tho.

I dunno.
Ben’s has them listed as 650b and out of stock in every size but 50mm.

SJS has them listed as 26"x60mm. In stock but I hate dealing with overseas shipping.
edit: lol $64 for the fenders, $50 for the shipping! Fuck that shit!

Boulder Bicycle would likely know if emailed.
