Hey, Fookers -- aka, the pedal thread

My review of six, sub-$50 flat pedals:

tl;dr - iSSi or OneUp for getting shreddy and the Bontrager for everything else.

I’d like to spend less than $50 on purple plastic platforms with metal pins for my commuter.

So far looking at fyxation on ebay for $40. I’ve got another set of them on another bike and they work well enough I’d get another pair. Are there and other reasonable options? Don’t really want to test the waters with fooker or rockbros.

It’s me!

Yo the Bontrager Line Elite MTB are really good. $49.99.

My big feet fit pretty well on the OneUp. Though, the purple is more like a lavender.

Good to know, I need a true purple.

Backing this.

Anyone for got any recommendations for commuter pedals that’ll work with hard sole shoes?

My green fookers might be not long for this world. One of them is sliding back and forth on the spindle.

If by hard sole shoes you mean dress shoes or similar where pins would be a bad interface and toe clips are also out then I would reccomend the Humpert 831/836. One of those model no’s has sealed bearings and one does not. They’re also sold as rebranded ‘giant’ and ‘bbb’ products (here in prison island at least). If you want to go all in on nude beach ergonomic style there is also the humpert ep1/ep2 which are bigger and have tabs which stop you jamming your shoe up against the crank.

Check out these nice cheap flat pedals (that you can only buy in a store in BC, Canada?).

those are fookers?

I guess the plastic ones might be?

The metal ones look almost like HT Components AE03, but not quite. Also, Canadian dollaroos! I’ve got to ask a West coast canuck to get me some at some point.

extremely similar:

Oh I didn’t know there were metal FOOKS. Some extra pins on the Canada ones at the least.

No roarage flavor, tho

what is the TA flat fooker now???

Kinda want to give these a try.

These are on sale for $40 at REI. Gonna get a set for my MTB and move my fookers to the Lorry.

Been really happy with the composite Bontys. Better support/grip than many all-metal jawns that cost 2-3x more.
