Can’t find any info, so hoping the rear hub is just a 8-10 spd body with a spacer for the 7 spd cassette.
Looks like it’s hyperglide, so traditional 8-10
I think I might do an IGH
That would be pretty great. A 9 spd 11-34 cassette might give enough of it to not need to replace the crank for lower gear fun times.
Advent might be a nice group
I used to have a Dahon with 3sp IGH sram and 8sp cassette. Gave everything and nerdy as hell but needlessly heavy now that I think about it
Def going to swap that crank ASAP, looks like a real Chungus
Yeah, looks like it’s this jawn

I’ll see how 170mm life is like first. Really don’t want to dump a bunch of money / time into this thing. The last “cheap bike” ended up costing >1.75 bong US.
Ryan, I’ve got an Alfine 8 hub that you can have for cheap if you decide to go igh.
Dammit, the stupid Sanyo dyno that’s been sitting in the case for at least a year got sold. Prices on those were raised as well. Guess it’s time to hit ebay.
I’m going to do some musical chairs with my two rival groups and throw one on this bike 1x10 w thumbies. Ordered an Amazon narrow wide in 47t
Grabbed some BMX tires, Animal GLH in 2.3", which feel soft enough, as far as BMX guys go
Ordered a c17.
Have an oldhuge timbuk2 messenger bag I think might fit perfectly in this basket
Ordered from ergon knockoffs
Pretty excited for this to get here
Anyone want my traitor Ruben frame?
I see what you did there.
Yep!
should I get a katu to ride to work?
it’s 5.5 miles each way.
The fact you’re asking this question means the answer is yes.
I’m pretty disappointed it doesn’t have discs like the e-katu. Which is what I really want.
Does the Katu 40 have disc mounts? I can’t seem to find this information on the internet.
It looks like the same frame as the 50, so guessing it doesn’t.
But the 20 also has water bottle mounts, so obviously worth the price difference there (no clue what the 20 costs).
my clydesdale’d bike is one of my most commuted on. also the only one with flats, and the only one i truly dgaf about so locking up any and everywhere is nbd. similar distance commute. about 300 feet of climbing on the way home. slow but effective and fun.
i say do it
Glue a disc mount to the fork and do a mullet? Had thoughts last night of doing that myself.
Not worth it. I’d rather just spend the extra money and get discs.
I’m thinking just get the $200. Upgrade the saddle to a charge spoon and call it a day.
“we will soon send you an email so you can consult the details of your order”
what
Eventually you can consult your order status

How does it financially work for the shop to.set the thing up? I hope orbea is throwing them something
