Hey, what's your Sundeal?

I would think so, but the tires (BMX) are so thicc that they don’t wear the same as lightweight road tires.

I’m happy the reception for the Small Wheeler has been so good. A lot of people didn’t necessarily get it at first, but thought it was awesome after explaining the benefits and riding it around.

The blog, I think, does a good job of answering most questions, and I’m down to answer any questions you guys have.

In case you were wondering what the color will be, normal color paint, heavy NJS glitter. That has already been decided.

Also great meeting some Tarcknuts at the show!

As a tall person who would not fit on a Sundeal or similar minivelo, I find this comment 100% reasonable.

Really, just the reach needs to be longer.

Something must be in the air, Soma’s bringing their minivelo back too. The VO once looks better though, plenty of fork brazeons!

I had the same question. Tall guys like bikes too.

The Large size we have planned is as big as an airline checked bag will allow. Large uses a roughly 57 TT, small 52 TT.

Are you going to post up about which bikes fit in what bags and where to acquire them?

We’re in process to design a bag for this bike!

57tt is not ideal, but very acceptable.

How long of a chairpole tube on the L?

Chairpole, boom tube, tube top, gooseneck acceptor, and chainstay lnegth will all be revealed once we dial in the geo. I promise y’all will be the first to know. Unless I forget.

This is the best tarck compliment I could have asked for.

Finally put on better tires and some fenders, brakes are still the weakest link by far, but it never ceases to amaze just how much some good tires and moderate pressure make riding any bike that much more fun.

Can you fit more than that 1.95, if you didn’t have fenders? Thought I read that 2.1 was possible, but that wasn’t based on actual measurements, just sidewall numbers.

On mine it seems that should be possible. IIRC on stock wheels the tires measured slightly under label. I have some clearance photos here:

Edit: that’s a 1.95 in there now

fuck

Would these things make the ideal snow and ice bike? So many fewer studs in the tires to do the same work!

IDK but I’m gonna ride mine with powerblocks on what will probably be a slippery maybe icy commute today. Low standover will be nice if I biff it.

Any cheapass 20" studded tires? I have one 26 that I rotate onto whatever bike I’m riding that winter for the few weeks I need it, its lasted me forever, kinda loathe to buy another set for a bike I don’t plan to own forever.

I have a marathon winter studded for front of Bullitt. It was like 28 euro-dollhairs when I bought it…3 years ago?

hmm that is a very interesting idea

how does the bullitt handle in the snow/ice? I rode mine in the slop last winter but never when there was significant accumulation. Should just go do donuts in a parking lot, but I just have no idea how it will handle slipping and sliding. The xtracycle I had before sucked, no traction with the rear wheel so far from under my weight.
