I would think so, but the tires (BMX) are so thicc that they don’t wear the same as lightweight road tires.
I’m happy the reception for the Small Wheeler has been so good. A lot of people didn’t necessarily get it at first, but thought it was awesome after explaining the benefits and riding it around.
The blog, I think, does a good job of answering most questions, and I’m down to answer any questions you guys have.
In case you were wondering what the color will be, normal color paint, heavy NJS glitter. That has already been decided.
Chairpole, boom tube, tube top, gooseneck acceptor, and chainstay lnegth will all be revealed once we dial in the geo. I promise y’all will be the first to know. Unless I forget.
Finally put on better tires and some fenders, brakes are still the weakest link by far, but it never ceases to amaze just how much some good tires and moderate pressure make riding any bike that much more fun.
Can you fit more than that 1.95, if you didn’t have fenders? Thought I read that 2.1 was possible, but that wasn’t based on actual measurements, just sidewall numbers.
IDK but I’m gonna ride mine with powerblocks on what will probably be a slippery maybe icy commute today. Low standover will be nice if I biff it.
Any cheapass 20" studded tires? I have one 26 that I rotate onto whatever bike I’m riding that winter for the few weeks I need it, its lasted me forever, kinda loathe to buy another set for a bike I don’t plan to own forever.
how does the bullitt handle in the snow/ice? I rode mine in the slop last winter but never when there was significant accumulation. Should just go do donuts in a parking lot, but I just have no idea how it will handle slipping and sliding. The xtracycle I had before sucked, no traction with the rear wheel so far from under my weight.
