23 miles after work on the large lad. Feels good man.
A English man, a merrikan, a German and a kiwi went for a ride…. Big storm coming tomoz, apparently.
I dunno why but the Kansas jersey in NZ is pretty funny to me
Damn no slashed sidewalls? That looks really underbiking!
No, though his rear tire burped in that section (Panaracer, of course)
Photo uploader was being pissy on mobile, some more shenanigans:
Sand dunes
This section of Hwy 120 was still showing up as closed online but was open so almost zero cars
Yeah. He grew up in Topeka and said that he’d just thrown out 30 years worth of old jerseys, but some how that one made the cut. Hes been in NZ for that long at least.
Been meaning to ski and Mtb in the same day for a few weeks now
Found my first ramps of the season on the bike trail
Goal was to get just past that hilltop in the distance below, which would include a lot of elevation on an old hiking trail. The ski hill starts just to the right of the top. I was gonna bike until I hit the remnants of man made snow
I decided to call it at the top of the mtb trail and head down to the car instead lol
Met @frikki at the diner for a snack:
We are cars. Riding a bike up a hill is still bullshit.
Gotta get this kid to the pump track.
He’s carving up and down the banked alleyway. My video won’t upload.
Is it a freewheel or freecoaster? That alley has lots of fakie potential.
lol it’s just a normal freewheel.
I’m starting to love it. Definitely dig the color, that all the compartments are easy to access while riding, and it’s massive compared to my swift peregrine.
It’s great for work since it holds my lunch, a change of clothes, and my planner plus all the other necessities when commuting.
I usually ride one of three routes. Been mixing it up this week by biking the trails next to the bike trail. I had hoped/heard this trail would lead to a brewery but I turned around when I found a crick crossing because I still had to go back to work today lol
There’s this climb on the bike trail that isn’t super tough but I usually save it for rides on my road bike. So it was funny today doing all that elevation the short way along these powerlines. I had the gears to make it not so bad but thought I was going to wheelie a time or 2
A time or two I was thinking “man I shoulda bought that Jones” and then immediately “I really don’t have time for these sorts of rides”
Odd man out on the Lynskey hardtail party today. Rode with two friends who both have Livewires with Factory forks and i9 wheels.
They made me go first on descents and at one point I heard one of them yell “I shouldn’t be following full suspension lines!”.
I fixed my bike but it’s cold now and going to rain so I’m playing fortnight
