I love that the bridge is open again and I can do my favorite 12 mile loop
66°f so of course the beach is packed!

Love it. I’m also an early season beachgoer. It’s the best time to find interesting debris.
if you’re ever in NYC check out Dead Horse Bay
technically closed rn by the Feds due to radiation contamination!
I had a fun time checking out some sometimes gorgeous sometimes cutty sometimes derelict freeride trails in the suburbs/city while my car was getting worked on. Some shockingly good views, nice dirt, and deer tracks tho no actual deers to be seen.
Wow that does look pretty insane

First Kidical Mass ride of the year! Biggest turnout I’ve seen! Roli spent most of the ride up at the front chatting with the ride leader while I hung back and corked at intersections. Got some use out of my hiviz vest!
Rode over to Wisconsin and checked out a bike shop that I should be frequenting more often. Alas, I wasn’t able to find the second gray cat that also patrols the shop
Spent 2 hours hiking my bike up 2000ft of loose rock at 7500ft and 7% humidity just to descend a mid trail for 15 min and the only photo I took is this screenshot of my watch saying I’m basically dead
They opened a new cycle trail here on Saturday. I commuted on it this morning. No more mixing it with 16 wheelers. Te Ara Tupua.
It was pretty amazing. Its also a seawall for protection of the train tracks. Funny to see our right wing govt who are by definition cyclist haters and climate deniers taking credit for a path they said they would stop construction of as soon as they got into power. Fukkas. We been lobby for this since 1903 !

Roli and I went to the craft fest in Andersonville. There is no safe or even “safe” cycling route from RP to Andersonville. It’s appalling. Roli rode there and back anyway, his longest non-Mass ride to date!
Did a meandering Surly-branded ride yesterday. Saw a bunch of weird Sydney spots I’d never been to which was cool.
Saw some guys that know @panda_heavy_metal but didn’t catch up with them to say hi.
It’s wild to think that there’s an FBM Ditherer in the antipodes that we don’t know about!
@EndpointBraden, any idea how many of them are there in the world?
That is @LASER_BEIGE 's old HG that I facilitated to a friend of mine.
Budge? I saw it and figured I would know who it was either directly or vicariously.
yep
