Working on getting this kid on her bike as much as possible this summer. The goal is to get her skills up so I feel ok having her ride in a bike lane.
Yea, but what’s the pie look like inside the box?
Love me some calzone!
is that supposed to be a california thing? the place we go to puts like 4 or five little tables on every pie.
i haven’t seen a pizza table here in 20 years
Went out for a ride in our local park today as I’ve decided I need to get some air during the week to stop from going insane. The unsanctioned trails and jumpz just keep running better and better. I am really pining for a dirt jumper to make full use of this stuff, but my Jeff Jones is fun on all the trails and some of the features where both wheels leave the ground. Since the parks department is putting an entrance to the park in the spot where folks have been building jumps forever (photo 1, everything behind the parks road), the crew has been branching out and clearing trails down the steepest hillsides in the park. And look at that second photo: straight up getting loamy in here!
I was curious where a local dirt road went and I waded across a very, very cold creek. My right big toe was still numb when I got home.
Are you at Lundy road?
Yes! How far up have you gone? I turned around at the last photo, which was about two or three miles past the creek crossing. I’m curious if theres a way to make to make it out to Upper Cherrytown Road.
Haha, we’ve tried that in the past. I have some ideas.
The first time I rode up that way I was on 28s and riding by myself. After the yoga place it started to get rocky and I was worried about riding back down late in the day. I went a lot further today. There are tire tracks up to the point that I turned around which makes me think people are driving in from the other direction.
Rode a bike and drank a beer with @karl_dandleton. Apparently social distancing in Philly means go to the park. So many people out and about.
People drive their redneck-ass trucks across the river. You saw tracks from the other direction? We might have to check that out tomorrow before the tracks go away.
I probably underestimate what crazy off-road enthusiast can drive. The first time I rode up Lundy I had to wait for 15 off-road club drivers headed down. They looked at me like I was a moron for riding up on a road bike.
The fresh tire tracks may not have gone all the way to where I turned out. There are some spots where the road is washed out pretty severely. But I could swear I saw signs of truck traffic past the wash outs.
