Same.
I really wasn’t expecting the increase in MUP traffic, it’s ridiculous.
Hopefully some of these normies realize that cars in the city are stupid and continue biking after we return to normal though.

here we are trying to not go crazy on the local hobo trail
Made a line down a hill last week. Came back this week and someone had built a jump on it. I love collective anonymous trail building.
I found this paintingprint in a dumpster a few days ago, transported it to the light rail station and hung it up. Rode by yesterday and it was still up.
Usually it would only have lasted a few hours.
love it
That bike is great.
Did a short loop today. Uphill was redzoned almost pukeville, because I am out of shape and my SS bike is geared too tall. But damned if I will walk. Downhill was swoopy bermed fun singletrack and I was whooping and laughing out loud.
Turnaround junction bench/logride.
I love that bench and tried to ride it unsuccessfully
I didn’t try. Pretty rickety and I was riding solo with not too many other folks around.
Is that Bend?
Yep!
Went for a (mostly distanced) roll with @Eddbread out to a nice historic park/reserve out next to the airport, where we found some g-rodeo. Most of it was rideable, though we walked a few steep bits in the interests of #safety. Finished with some fast road smash while racing the sunset on the way back. I nearly spewed after one particularly steep hill effort, and Ed almost bonked on the return. Yee-haw
Did a big burly ride around Mt Siegel in the Pine Nut Mountains. That’s it in the background.
Getting up towards snow line. This is the northern side. The road goes around the east side and descends again on the south.
First patches of snow
2 hours of pushbiking
First signs of dirt on the south side. However the road down was on the north-facing part of the drainage in front of us, so we went cross-country on the south-facing side.
Back in the scrub, looking back at the mountain.
That looks like a damn fine day on two wheels
Hell yeah
Lunch time ride today to try out a new wheel. Surf is up. Not sure why, it’s a pretty calm day but apparently some flooding on the coast. Came across a bunch of wild goats. Hawkins Hill, Wellington NZ. Lock-down local ride.
Went for a night ride last night. no pictures because night ride, but it was great. why haven’t i been doing more night rides? We had just about perfect weather, too.
there was no traffic, so no headlights in my face, and i have crazy bright dynamo setup so it was really perfect.
I also slept really well. i forgot how great exercise makes your body and brain feel.
Plus the ongoing neuropathy from chemo has resolved a lot of my hand and foot pain issues, since i can no longer feel my hands or feet!
