I see you killin that hill in the drops
Went for a longish one in the mountains coz I needed to get out of cell range to stop myself from hate watching police brutality content all day. Checked out some new to me back roads which turned out to be restricted access tracks. Being almost completely untrafficked meant that they were covered with downed branches and rough/slippery af. Trying not to stack it while also keeping an ear out for rangers was pretty nerve racking, but I still had a good time.
It was also my first time riding with new Shimano flat shoes which held up really well and kept my feet warm and dry in the cold slop. Zold
i have climbed 1 flight of steps on that tower but then i remembered i was scared of heights
HMFY: Kiddo back at childcare, but 'sup and I WFH today. Date ride!
Big storm a few days ago knocked a ton of pine needles into the trail. It was really fun, two-wheel drift city around the corners.
What’s sup bike?
2005 Yeti AS-R SL
45 miles out and back on the same route, which I normally hate, but just wanted to put some miles down and not have to think much today.
Headed back to the river bottoms yet again. It’s just such a nice place and one of the main entries is only a few miles south of my house. Despite being in the middle of the largest metro area in a five state region, I only saw five other people.
On the return leg rode through some neighborhoods most affected by the events of last weekend. Sobering. He abandoned police station is a thing of beauty. The area around 38th and Chicago is inspiring.
Man, I miss bay area riding so hard.
there is so much bullshit i’m getting sick of in the bay area but i’m really not sure i could give up this riding.
uncle hugos ):
Yeah, huge bummer. Hated seeing all the burned books in the ruined basement. It was always a “I gotta check that place out” place but I never did
FTFM
