it wouldn't be tarck without a dyno thread

Dont worry the competition hasn’t been that close.

Playing checkers compared to nu person, but got the framebuilder mount mounted and wired up with the di2 stickes that many have suggested.

Back story:
Luxos U
Bike shelved in 2019
Had previously been rainwater-shorted but was functional for at least a year.
Bike dusted off in 2022
No output from light - no indication of power going to light.

I can check the hub but I don’t think it’s that.

Anyone ever have a Luxos u just die?

Shartq/ Which is the supernova that doesn’t make you and asshole?

For someone that INSISTS on one

The one with the highest margin I guess

Connected the Luxos to another dynamo and it worked. Maybe wiring has gremlins? I refuse to believe the son hub died

I mean which one has a beam that isn’t optimal for blinding other people. I know the E3 triple is a dedicated trail light but I thought someone (@JUGE_FREDD ) said one of them is sufficiently German in its beam.

The E3 Pure is the STVZO version

their beam quality got better some years ago when they started making self-contained battery-powered versions, and seems to have skyrocketed once they got into the blinged out euro e-bike business

they just announced a dynamo version of one of those that I think I’ll buy:

Any thoughts among the hivemind about SON 28 vs SonDelux? I know the difference on paper (28 makes more power and hence has more drag at lower speeds, also weighs a little more) but unsure of how it actually shakes out IRL

Unfortunately both are only available in silver in 32h

I def found both in 32h/black/centerlock 12mm-way on the german sites

starbike has a sale on SON products right now making both quite affordable with the currently depressed euro

I’m saying you can only get silvers in 32h

I want 28

Fred told me to do the 24/36 but idk

I looked at the same comparison a couple of years ago, and they seemed so similar I just went with the 28 (32h centrelock black).

IIRC the Delux was just the smol wheel dyno rebranded as the delux for some reason, hence the lesser power output at big wheel speeds.
