it wouldn't be tarck without a dyno thread

Today my british buddy asked Willie Schmidt to sign his dynamo hub and apparently nobody had ever asked that before in thirty years of business

Also SON announced a next generation replacement for the dearly departed Luxos U

Fully sealed at all interfaces, the cache battery is 10x the capacity of the Luxos U, the handlebar button attaches with the same wire band clamp as the seatpost taillight, and the USB port connects to the button with a magsafe-style interface

Okay, now that would be a reason to ride pbp!

I recently bought a Wahoo Bolt and it’s out front mount is fine, but it interferes with my dyno light.

Is there a good solution to mounting both on one thing when the light wants to be mounted from its bottom?

I think these are kind of cool: drj0n Mission Control Deck – wildcat.cc

Haven’t used one yet but it seems like a nice solution to having multiple things up close on your bars.

There’s also a slightly more modular version: drj0n SkÜnKw0rks Deck – wildcat.cc

What light? I made some Luxos U to GoPro adaptors awhile ago I might be able to find. Worked great with the K edge that has a mount underneath.

Cyo Premium.

I’m not above upgrading the light to make this work, though.

Switching the light is the easiest but also most expensive route. K-edge has go-pro mount options for all their out front stuff and it’s very easy to mod the IQ-X to hook up this way. But yeah… $$$

+1 IQ-X fits on my action camera mount thing easily after I filed it down a little.

ooooh. looks excessive and I haven’t dropped a shit ton of money on lights in a couple years

Yeah, that might be too much $$$ for this project.

Is there another upside down light worth using?

Jerry rigged reacharound/reachunder plus any other light?

i taped a cyo premium to the bottom of my out front mount and it worked fine for two years but it’s not really “classy” and will absolutely not count as a dither

Crappy dithering is still dithering!

makes no sense that they are not all built so you can rotate the optics in the housing and tighten a set screw - it would cost and extra $3

thank you. i did use the same color electrical tape that I’d used to wrap the bars!

did anyone here preorder a sinewave beacon 2? i placed a preorder on january 25th and still haven’t heard anything about it, except when i emailed in early june and asked for an update and was told it would ship around the “second half of summer” which i guess we’re still in

I did as well, reached out in August and they said I would likely get it mid-September. They responded really fast and were nice about it, even offering to push my name up earlier if I needed it for an event or something.

oh nice! that’s good to hear, thanks! did you place your order sometime around January as well? when i reached out they also offered to push me up, but i figured i was already hassling them by asking about shipping dates so didn’t want to ask too much of them

Just checked, I ordered in November.

“After a long stretch of challenging production, things are finally going much better and we’re making progress on backorders. We still have a lot of backorders and pre-orders to work through, and I think your order will ship in September.”
