Dry weather lights
Damn this looks cool as fuck
Damn not waterproof
From google:
an IP54 rating means… protected against dust and water splashes, but they should not be mounted in places where they are constantly being barraged by water
Not sure how this applies to that light, maybe it’s fine in the rain with fenders?
Made me wonder what the IP rating was on my Cyo, and it looks like they are discontinued??? I think they have updated lights but I thought Cyo was going to be a forever product
round beam pattern lens by all appearances
Good thing it’s repairable!
IPX2 is the rain test, this is two levels higher
Just got a full invoice, FYI. I’ll follow-up once I know more.
Who makes a dyno light bracket that attaches to the rear of the fork crown only? Got carbon pokes with only a threaded fender hole on the back of the crown.
Tracking info just got sent, things are moving along.
Also wondering about this same thing
thanks for the update!
I’ve never seen off the shelf solution for this. Maybe it’s up to you to make one?
It shouldn’t be too hard to make one. A u-bracket with a threaded mount at one end and a slip mount at the other. Want me to make you one? I have to finish brazing up a couple of racks this week and can toss one onto the barbie at the same time.
It’s for a customer of mine for his moots touring bike, can you charge accordingly? I can get you the important measurements.
He had an off the shelf bracket that was thin aluminum and it snapped after a couple years.
Send me the measurements! I’d use steel tubing, so fatigue wouldn’t be as much of a problem as stamped aluminum.
Around the sides or through the crotch?
Here’s the setup, not a whole lot of clearance against the tire and the fork crown is not flat on the tire side. I’ll call him up and have him bring it in to measure up. The whole thing will have to hang off that one bolt, had an idea to use VHB to stick a tab to the front of the crown to help prevent bouncing.
I’ll slide in your DMs once I get measurements
