Juan Pelota Finally Caves

I never liked the dude. He obviously had the best doping program on the planet and used it to avoid the ada’s for lots of years. I couldn’t care less if he goes down hard. His charity is cool and I hope it hangs around, but I wouldn’t mind if he fades into obscurity.

NAILED IT

the correct answer is “no one.”

the news of Armstrong being stripped of his W’s shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone actively following the sport.

See this is what cyclists know and the general public doesn’t seem to get. We were driving back from camping today and the only radio station with any reception was a call in show and all these fucking idiots saying “well, if he cheated then that’s not fair to everyone else in the race, he should lose his title” because people don’t get that “everyone was doing it” isn’t a colloquialism, it’s an honest statement of fact. There probably hasn’t been a clean TDF winner since doping became common

Scott, I’m saving that list for future reference.

Dude just couldn’t yield the spotlight to a certain cycling-related movie which shall remain nameless.

Again — the real story here is the fact that the reigning UCI risked a shit ton to try to save Lance from being prosecuted. Oh and remember when they shut down Floyd? Lance has publicly donated 125,000$ to the UCI in key years. Note that they’ve yet to make a statement following the events.

here’s a graphical representation of that list. I don’t even…

Seriously.

ftfy

to me it’s odd that most people miss the beauty in this.
these drugs don’t get you high or even make you go faster
they let you suffer more, or let you recover faster so you can suffer even more the next time
i appreciate the violence of the act.

as far as lance goes
i heard a funny urban legend about him visiting a strip club in PDX
from a totally unreliable source
“this chicks’ got more needle marks than vino!”
its true in my heart and thats all that matters to me

One of the best explanations i’ve heard of this whole situation.

i’m really not a fan of people (including merckx) saying this is bad for cycling by bringing doping to the forefront. they’re taking a big bold leap towards a clean sport by taking him down. yes it’s mostly symbolic, i think it’s needed.

and fuck the UCI
fuck them so hard

so fucking hard

they were always doping
