Miguel's fat-tired fopmobile

ill post a pic when im good and ready

This is punishment for having been mean to you, right?

Big lulz.

where the fuck is the Ignore button?!

maxle = 15mm through axle?

Depends, can be 20 mm as well all for the front

Rear is 12, but different widths

Show us a photo of your bike and I’ll answer this question.

Probably need driveside profile picture of the entire bike taken in daylight using a decent camera (iPhone 4S or better) to be able to know for sure tbh

yawn…are we there yet?

calipers are a thing

Not in this thread they aren’t.

fork sez “maxle” and currently the hubs are 9mm qr, i can replace the axle with 15mm thru axle, so im wondering if i can use 15mm thru axle with maxle.

Maxle is rockshox’s name for their version of a thru-axle. Yours is 15mm because I’m pretty sure you didn’t buy an Argyle, Lyrik or Boxxer.

Also, holy shit you are typing just like Sol.

thanks
that makes sense now
i dont even know who sol is

I think some come in either size, my Revelation was 20mm.

They stopped doing the Revs and Sektors in 20mm after 2011 or 2012, IIRC. Everything not specifically designed for gravity racing is now 15mm. Even the new Pike is 15mm only. Which is a shame, because shopbros used to be able to get a really great fork by buying a 20mm sektor and swapping in a nicer damper (since it’s just the Revelation with a downgraded damper). I think you could get out for under $300.

Sol’s name was changed to Matthew Trujillo in hopes that having to post under his real name would force him to post like a decent human being. Which didn’t work.

wow
sol is kind of next level tho
