mini-velo!

dammit. i may end up building one of these.

:colbert:

I still don’t get it.

I want to.

I just don’t.

I wonder how 20" wheels feel on anything but the smoothest of pavement.

Probably real shitty, given the lengths that Bianchi above is going to to smooth the ride out.
Dahon also makes this:

with a janky-looking front suspension to smooth the ride.

Some Schwalbe Big Apples and maybe a thudbuster are the less-ugly solutions I would apply to this problem.

This fork is so crazy I almost like it.

relevant important bump

i want a mini velo. and all 6’3" of me would look awesome on one.

You guys are missing a concept that is key to these bikes.

Cute! Kawaii! Ke ai!

Cute is rated higher than sexy in China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea.

And there is a big part of the male population here that would rather buy a cute car, bike, motorcycle than a bad ass, macho looking one.

I would guess that the guys on this board that dig these bikes are probably more in touch with their feminine side.

i wonder if surly would make one haha

I have been thinking about this one.

100% macho right here. I’d ride the hell out of a mini-velo, though and dare anyone to laugh at me.

i think a super long seatpost on my bmx frame would saffice as a ghettomod mini velo.

plenty macho, but that brifter setup is retarded.

halbritt ain’t 100% macho by a long shot.

and bmx with long seatpost makes a great polo bike.

how the fuck are those brifters meant to be operated

when the hoods are vertical

would build up for s.o.

$264 for frame/fork/seatpost? i could throw some bmx parts on there and have a super cheap build!

i’d build one up for sure, but i can’t really think of any bike i wouldn’t build up if i had the money and time. variety, man! it’s fun. i just bought a 30+ year old schwinn 3-speed cruiser for $40 just because it looked fun to ride, and it is… sticking to road/track bikes gets boring.

i’d love a mini-velo with skyways, as said before, that would be awesome. a fucked up track/bmx hybrid…
