reading the bikeradar article posted just after i asked, it means the shifters are $200 each right?
found my answer. thats still wild.

I believe that includes the hoses and flat mount calipers. Also the quarq is only left sided for now
i always said i’d get roboshifting when it trickled down to hydro rival. still havent even installed the wet force jawns that face sold me though
It’s going on a year now I aint had nothing twix my nethers wasnt run on bateries.
The only roboshifting I see myself ever getting into would maybe be Alfine for a city bike. I just really like cable clickers when I’m out riding for fun.

Unless I ever decide to actually make moves on this friction di2 idea…
Ah, so that’s what Speedvagen was teasing earlier this week.
Also me.
Wireless robo shifting just makes me think of how hard it is to keep my BT headphones and laptop connected to each other and then I start shopping for bike parts at rivbike dot com.
I’d be down to help with your friction di2 idea - what is it?
I’ve come to really love roboshifting. Riding the mech GRX group around and having to trim (the really excellent) front mech is kinda gross.
$130 43/30 nerd cranks
Power meter version for $350, or $250 for just the arm to upgrade?
commonly available 160mm lengths are pretty interesting too for shawty
There were a couple of stories of AXS danglers not working, mid tour on my FB this week. I guess if your cable dangler fails its easy to troubleshoot. Intermittent failure must suck.
Presenting the SRAM SaaS cloud shifting technology.
Please lodge a ticket if you are experiencing gear change issues and a support tech will remote in to your dangler to troubleshoot
cranks sez:
- Wide chainline crankset for bikes with up to 700x45c or 27.5x2.1” tire widths (43/30T chainrings only)
following the GRX move
tbh i don’t mind running my chainline slightly onboard with nerd cranks. i’m basically only ever in the little ring if i’m at least half way up the cassette anyway
huh, i ride nerd cranks to push big/big all the time
nerd range with dork chainline
i am slow, and also i feel like just a tiny bit inboard makes it like a 1x but with half a cassette of bail out
to have an excuse for being overtaken (gearing limited top speed)
That’s called the Poindexter (as opposed to the Pofrictionter)
This is a stretch, and i like it.
