New & Interesting Bike Campenaerts

didn’t we talk about dry break fittings a while back and the consensus was it was hard to find them in bike-appropriate sizes?

Anyone have opinions on this stem (or same style from other mfgs)? Idle dithering for MTB - I like the look.

There are no new ideas left

(i like it though)

Cheaper aliexpress version exists as well (and looks slightly longer?)

seems stupid since 35mm stems and bars were already too stiff and too heavy

it would be cool again if Ridefarr used is as a platform to integrate their mini-aerobars using a shared non-rotating clamp, but looks like they ignore that opportunity

Definitely into that

Dont you need to be rocking a super vintage frame or get the odd chainstay mount brazed on as well? That should add a few hundred more for brazing and painting

also the shifter is $240.

so about $1,500 and you got yourself a nice little 1x setup that looks like it was built using harbor freight parts.

I’m confused. Is someone selling this thing?
Is someone buying it?

Holy shit

Right, of course.

I would be totally stoked if I were an insanely wealthy retrogrouch. Pretty big investment for something that might be supremely underwhelming. Instead of OPEN, he should do a collaboration with Rivendell. So we can get 30 lb lugged steel frames with 700mm chainstays and the appropriate braze on for this engineering marvel.

Did someone delete the link?

No… maybe he sold out /S.

You don’t need a link. Just close your eyes and imagine.

As always, every product sold by RH needs a picture of Jan riding his bike. You can’t even see the $1000 shifter set up.

That’s because it looks like total ass. There are plenty of beautiful friction shifters, why did he feel the need to have one commissioned at a high school shop class ?

No problems with Jan taking pictures of himself to sell stuff at his company

I’m 90% sure I saw him on the Burke yesterday. I almost stopped to thank him for my fat tires. It’s a good thing this didn’t drop yesterday or I would have thrown my shoe at him.
