I was similarly disappointed, all of my purple/teal dreams were about to come true. Giro of all companies should be able to bring this to an affordable level.
I care so little about this bike now, but on the super rare chance it is available when next model comes out and is heavily discounted, I could get into it. It’s no fancy pista, but I could get into it.
I literally have zero interest in that and I want it.
I saw a dude with one of those RHC frames in town here. I’m sure it’s a great frame but it kinda screamed dbag in person atmo. If you’re gonna spend extra for fancy paint, is it a happy coincidence that big S happened to paint exactly what you wanted, or is there something else floating out there in the ether that hasn’t been made yet that speaks to you more but you fell for the same flashy markup as everyone else this year? Like maybe have turp paint you a frame instead is what I’m saying.
Some of those parts have potential ( are the fenders the same extrusion as the pdw fenders?) — I’d love to see a side view of those flared drop bars

$1500 for an allez seems a little silly to the non-shopbro as that gets you most/all of the way to a rock lobster (pending how up-do-date pricing on the site is)
