I love organized chaos like that. As long as I organized it, I’d be in heaven. If someone else organized it i’d pull my hair out.
Redid my basement this week.
I keep my bmx bikes in my bedroom and there’s boxes full of parts and frames underneath the stairs.
The Serotta and I just moved in here
Not seen: sw8 On-One Pompino that one of the roommates is currently out on.
Just getting moved in to the new garage.

I did have them on a peg board in my basement bike workshop deal. Then I moved and had to throw everything in a gym bag, where they’ve lived ever since, recently was the first time in 6 months I’ve needed them.
I’ve got one of these that has proven surprisingly capacious and durable.
Hangs or lays flat and stores compactly eliminating the need for dedicated space. Mine has gotten quite heavy but rolls up and travels well.
Shame they don’t make it anymore but there must be similar available.
Threw stuff out, packed stuff away, hung stuff from hooks. Now to try and keep it somewhat neat. Next step is a wall of milk crates to replace the wooden crates/plastic crates/drawers for more regular and accessible parts/tyres storage/access.
I got the old shop cabinet thing so I reorganized a bit. Still have to get the tools sorted out. Nice to have a Good place to put stickers.
Toolboxes are great for stickering.
5 days after this I got hit by a car and broke my collarbone.

Moral of the story: the Gods are angered by an overly spacious/neat bikemess.
Tidied up my work bench significantly there was no place to even set a coffee cup. I got a little wall mounted drawer system thing to keep small parts in to eliminate the piles of random baggies.
